Job Description

Catholic Health (CH) currently has full time opportunities for Board Certified/Board Eligible Pulmonologists St Francis Hospital & Heart Center, in Roslyn, NY. This opportunity is located in on the campus of St. Francis Hospital in Roslyn NY. As a Pulmonologist at St. Francis Hospital & Heart Center, the desired candidate will have a blended inpatient-outpatient clinical role within a high-acuity cardiopulmonary specialty hospital. Responsibilities are centered on diagnosing and managing complex respiratory disease across the continuum of care. In an inpatient setting, the Pulmonologist provides consultative and primary pulmonology care hospitalized patients, often including ICU and step-down units. This includes evaluating and managing acute respiratory failure. COPD exacerbations, asthma attacks, pneumonia, pulmonary embolism, pleural disease, and post-operative pulmonary complications. Across both settings, key responsibilities include:
  • Performing and interpreting pulmonary diagnostics (PFTs, imaging review, lab interpretation)
  • Coordinating bronchoscopy or other pulmonary procedures when indicated when indicated (depending on privileging)
  • Collaborating closely with respiratory therapy, critical care teams, nursing and other specialists
  • Providing hospital call coverage for pulmonary consults and emergencies
  • Ensuring timely, accurate documentation in the electronic medical record Base Salary- $350K+ This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate's education, training, skills, licensure and certification, competencies and other relevant experience.
