Job Description:

We are a growing Durable Medical Equipment (DME) company seeking a reliable and compassionate Respiratory Therapist (RT) to join our team. This role is focused on ensuring safe and smooth patient transitions from hospitals or healthcare facilities to home.

Responsibilities:

Coordinate and facilitate safe discharge of patients from hospitals or facilities to home Train patients and their families on how to properly use respiratory and medical equipment before discharge Travel to patients' homes to deliver and set up equipment, ensuring everything is safe and functioning properly Conduct monthly follow-up visits to ensure patient safety, compliance, and proper equipment use Assess patient needs and communicate any necessary changes in equipment or supplies to the office Be knowledgeable about tubing, supplies, and equipment specific to each patient and provide recommendations as needed Maintain clear and timely communication with the office regarding patient updates, equipment needs, scheduling changes, and any concerns arising in the field

Qualifications:

Active Respiratory Therapist (RT) license Experience in DME or home care preferred Strong communication and patient education skills Ability to work independently and travel to patient locations Familiarity with respiratory equipment, setup, and supplies

Pay:

$41.00 - $43.00 per hour
