Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract Experience rewarding professional growth as a Respiratory Therapist in a dynamic contract role. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with expertise in critical care and neonatal intensive care, who are comfortable working nights and every other weekend, with a schedule of 36 hours per week for a 13-week term.

Qualifications:
Registered Respiratory Therapist credential required Proven experience in critical care and NICU environments Proficiency with V60 BiPAP and 980 Puritan Bennett ventilators Familiarity with EPIC charting system Capability to participate in external patient transports Current BLS certification for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients
Key Responsibilities:
Administer and evaluate respiratory therapy services to inpatients, outpatients, staff, and community groups Deliver aerosol treatments, CPT/Flutter/PEP therapy, incentive spirometry, M.D.I. therapy, and suctioning Perform extubations, oxygen therapy, BiPAP/CPAP management (including alarms), cough assist and vest therapy, and high-flow cannula/humidifier support Conduct pulmonary function screening, fit testing, pulse oximetry, and both adult and pediatric EKGs Manage mechanical ventilation and ventilator alarms Perform arterial puncture and blood gas analysis, ensuring quality control in the laboratory Accurately manage patient healthcare information and medication systems (Soarian, MAK, McKesson) Verify and execute physician orders, reporting results promptly and accurately Uphold departmental standards in service delivery, record-keeping, and professional conduct Contribute to ongoing in-service departmental training and perform other assigned duties This is an excellent opportunity to make a meaningful impact by providing outstanding respiratory care, while collaborating with a skilled and passionate healthcare team.
