We are seeking a skilled professional to deliver high-quality therapeutic interventions as a Respiratory Therapist. This contract role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact through collaboration with medical teams and direct patient care.
Key Skills and Requirements:
Active credentials as a Respiratory Therapist; Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) strongly preferred Current state licensure as required for practice Demonstrated competency with adult and pediatric respiratory therapy procedures Solid understanding of mechanical ventilation, airway management, and emergency response Strong communication and organizational abilities Commitment to adhering to safety protocols and patient confidentiality
Primary Responsibilities:
Assess, plan, and implement respiratory therapy to treat patients with breathing or cardiopulmonary disorders Operate ventilators, oxygen therapy equipment, and aerosol delivery devices Monitor patients' responses to therapy and adjust care plans in coordination with medical staff Perform diagnostic procedures such as arterial blood gas sampling and analysis Educate patients and families regarding therapy and equipment use Accurately document patient care activities and progress using electronic health records Participate in interdisciplinary rounds and contribute to patient care planning
