Be actively enrolled in an AMA approved Respiratory Care registry programRequired Licenses[Ohio, United States] OtherCandidate must have a current limited permit to practice respiratory care issued by Ohio.
Must demonstrate skills in all Patient Care Areas of the Hospital.
Must demonstrate knowledge as it relates to cardiopulmonary disease states.
Active AARC member preferredMust demonstrate knowledge and competency of modalities as verified by the Ohio Respiratory Care Board.
Current BLS for respective work areaWorks under the supervision of a Certified or Registered Respiratory Therapist to delivery care to the respiratory patient. The Kettering Health Network Respiratory Care teams are an integral part of daily clinical care. We work collaboratively with our clinical caregivers, patients and families to improve and maintain ideal lung health. We currently have an opening for a Student Respiratory Therapist. Our students perform various daily respiratory procedures for non-critical care for all age groups depending upon competency level.
Job responsibilities:

Has attended (or reviewed via HealthStream) a minimum of three Town Hall meetings. Add essential duties as instructed in the directions above. Administers respiratory therapy treatments by performing ordered therapies evaluating the effectiveness of treatment plan by observing, charting, and evaluating patient's progress; recommending adjustments and modifications Maintains patient confidence and protects hospital operations by keeping information confidential. Documents patient care services and charges in patient and department recordProtects patients and employees by adhering to infection-control policies and protocols.
