Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract This opportunity is ideal for an experienced Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist seeking a contract assignment to further develop clinical skills while making a meaningful difference in patient care.
Schedule:
3x12 hour night shifts, 7:00pm - 7:30am
Key Qualifications:
Active and current Ohio Respiratory Therapy License BLS certification required Minimum of 2 years recent experience as a Respiratory Therapist or Registered Respiratory Therapist Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills Ability to work effectively as part of an interdisciplinary care team Excellent communication and patient interaction abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver full-spectrum respiratory care to patients of varying acuity levels, including those in intensive care, emergency, and general care units Operate, monitor, and maintain respiratory equipment, such as ventilators and oxygen delivery devices Perform diagnostic procedures, airway management, and assist with therapies as prescribed by medical staff Respond promptly to emergency situations requiring rapid respiratory intervention Accurately document patient status, interventions, and progress Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied health team members to optimize patient outcomes Conduct patient and family education on respiratory therapy plans and equipment use The initial term for this assignment is 13 weeks, offering a valuable chance to enhance your expertise in a dynamic clinical environment.
