Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Join a dynamic healthcare team as a Registered Respiratory Therapist specializing in Pediatrics. This travel opportunity is based in Strongsville, OH, offering a chance to apply your expertise in respiratory care within a well-established medical center.
Key Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential required. Proficiency in medicated aerosol therapy including small volume and vibrating mesh nebulizers. Experience with airway clearance therapies such as clapping, vibration techniques, and Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP). Skilled in airway management including suctioning, tracheostomy care, and ventilator system checks. Knowledge of high-risk delivery procedures including surfactant administration and neonatal intubation. Competent in blood gas sampling, analysis, and interpretation. Familiarity with humidity therapy equipment and clinical practice guidelines related to asthma, cystic fibrosis, and respiratory distress syndrome. Ability to monitor patient statuses using pulse oximetry, capnography, and ventilator graphics. Experience with patient transport involving HFNC portable units and neonatal rapid response. Understanding of oxygen and special gas therapy including Inhaled Nitric Oxide calibration.
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory care to pediatric patients by administering therapies, managing airway devices, and monitoring respiratory function. Educate patients and caregivers on respiratory treatments and usage of devices. Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams to follow clinical guidelines and protocols. Ensure equipment cleanliness and maintenance to provide a safe care environment. Participate in transport teams, maintaining respiratory support during patient transfers.
