Job Description

Category Respiratory Therapist Job Type Contract A dynamic contract opportunity is available for an experienced Respiratory Therapist—either Certified or Registered—at a small, community-focused hospital. This role calls for a dedicated clinician ready to make a difference in a 25-bed facility. As a day shift specialist, you'll play an essential part in patient care, particularly in vent management, across both the emergency department and med/surg units. Professionals with LTAC RT backgrounds are also encouraged to apply.
Schedule:
8-week assignment with strong potential for extension 3x12-hour shifts (9:00 AM - 9:00 PM) No weekends; shifts are Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, or Friday only
Ideal Qualifications:
Valid credential as a Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) or Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) Strong clinical experience in either emergency departments or medical/surgical units (LTAC RT backgrounds also considered) Clear, current licensure as required for respiratory care Confidence in managing ventilators and related critical care interventions Ability to adapt within a small team and provide independent, evidence-based respiratory therapies
Primary Responsibilities:
Delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients presenting in ED and Med/Surg settings Managing ventilator support for diverse populations Collaborating closely with nurses and medical staff to optimize patient outcomes Educating patients and families about respiratory treatments and care strategies Assisting with admissions and ongoing assessments in a fast-paced, flexible environment
