As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll provide highquality cardiopulmonary care while supporting the smooth daily operations of the Respiratory Therapy Department. https://www.stmarysregional.com What You'll Do As a Respiratory Therapist, you'll play a vital role in assessing patients, delivering evidencebased respiratory care, and ensuring accurate documentation. You'll support departmental operations while providing safe, effective treatment to patients experiencing cardiopulmonary difficulties.Responsibilities include:
Obtaining data pertinent to therapy through chart review and physical assessment Administering oxygen therapy, aerosol and humidity therapy, trach care and management, chest physiotherapy, incentive spirometry, suctioning, bedside respiratory measurements, pulse oximetry, and EKGs Completing new therapy starts within one hour and responding promptly to emergency situations Functioning within the Oklahoma Respiratory Care Practitioner scope of practice Cleaning, disinfecting, and sterilizing equipment per SMRMC policy Routinely cleaning and assembling departmental equipment before end of shift and checking assigned areas for dirty equipment Providing complete and competent ventilatory management for adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients, including treatments, airway management, and tracheal suctioning Documenting patient status and care provided, including heart rate, respiratory rate, SaO, lung sounds, treatment effectiveness, and any adverse reactions Adhering to the "five rights" of medication administration and using two patient identifiers Consistently documenting in iView What We Offer St. Mary's provides a supportive environment where respiratory professionals can grow, develop, and make a meaningful impact.Benefits include:
