$30.33 - $45.00 per hour Job description: Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Respiratory Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide specialized respiratory care to patients. This role involves assessing patient needs, managing airway support, and administering respiratory therapies in a fast-paced, care environment. The Respiratory Therapist will play a vital role in patient recovery and overall clinical outcomes. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive patient assessments focusing on respiratory function, vital signs, and overall physiology. Administer respiratory therapy treatments. Manage airway devices and assist with airway management procedures in emergency and critical care situations. Operate and troubleshoot respiratory equipment with precision. Monitor patient responses to therapy, adjusting treatment plans as necessary based on clinical data and patient condition. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for geriatrics patients. Document all procedures accurately in medical records following facility protocols. Maintain current knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pulmonology, and critical care practices to ensure high-quality patient care. Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on advancements in respiratory therapy techniques. Qualifications Valid license as a Respiratory Therapist from an accredited program. Strong background in emergency medicine, airway management, and physiology knowledge. Familiarity with inpatient care setting for respiratory care. Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification is preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology, anatomy, pulmonology, and medication administration relevant to respiratory therapy. Experience working with critically ill patients across diverse populations. Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and respond swiftly to emergent situations within acute care settings.
