As a Registered Respiratory Therapist in a critical illness and rehabilitation environment, you'll work with minimal supervision, providing high-quality care and supporting patient recovery. Key Qualifications:
Valid Registered Respiratory Therapist license BLS and ACLS certifications required Previous experience in acute or rehabilitation settings preferred Ability to operate and maintain mechanical ventilation equipment Demonstrated knowledge of pulmonary diagnostics, EKGs, and laboratory policies Strong communication and patient education skillsResponsibilities:
Deliver intensive respiratory therapies and support safe patient transport Assess patients and formulate individualized treatment plans Educate patients and families on treatments and discharge instructions Administer prescribed medications using ventilatory and nebulizer devices Perform chest physiotherapy and airway suctioning using approved techniques Conduct oximetry monitoring, capnography, and pulmonary function studies Support respiratory-related procedures, including bronchoscopies and tracheostomies Maintain accurate records of all treatments and patient responses Communicate efficiently with physicians and participate in interdisciplinary hand-offs Ensure accuracy in therapy charging and data entryTravel & Professional Benefits:
