P Respiratory Therapist Duties & Responsibilities:

Assess, treat, and monitor patients with respiratory and cardiopulmonary conditions. Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol medications, and respiratory treatments. Operate and monitor ventilators and other respiratory support equipment. Perform diagnostic testing, including pulmonary function tests and arterial blood gas sampling. Respond to respiratory emergencies and participate in rapid response or code teams. Educate patients and families on respiratory care, medications, and equipment use. Monitor patient response to therapy and report changes to the healthcare team. Maintain accurate documentation in the electronic medical record (EMR).

Minimum Qualifications:

Current, valid, and unrestricted PA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position. Minimum 1+ year within the last 3 years as Respiratory Therapist. Additional certifications may be required Copy of current, completed Primary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.
