The Role We are seeking compassionate, skilled, and dependable Respiratory Therapists (RTs) to join our clinical team at Cranberry Place. We currently have openings for both Day Shifts and Night Shifts ! In this role, you will perform specialized respiratory care treatments, manage equipment, and collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and therapy teams to maintain optimal respiratory health for our residents. Whether you prefer the steady pace of days or the dedicated focus of night shifts, you will play a vital role in keeping our residents breathing easy.
Key Responsibilities Assessment & Care Execution:
Conduct thorough respiratory assessments, evaluate lung sounds and oxygenation, and administer prescribed respiratory therapies (aerosol treatments, chest physiotherapy, tracheostomy care, and oxygen therapy).
Airway & Equipment Management:
Set up, monitor, and troubleshoot respiratory equipment (trach tubes, CPAP/BiPAP, suctioning devices, and ventilators) according to physician orders and facility protocols.
Emergency Response:
Provide immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation and emergency airway management support as needed.
Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
Accurately document treatment responses and clinical changes in electronic health records; participate in daily huddles and multidisciplinary care planning.
Resident & Family Support:
Educate residents and their families on respiratory conditions, care plans, and equipment usage with empathy and clarity.
Qualifications Licensure:
Active, unencumbered Pennsylvania license as a Respiratory Care Practitioner / Respiratory Therapist (RRT or CRT).
Certifications:
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR certification required; ACLS preferred.
Experience:
Prior clinical experience as an RT in skilled nursing, long-term care, or acute care is preferred, but motivated new graduates are welcome to apply!
Technical Skills:
Strong proficiency in tracheostomy care, airway management, and clinical assessment.
Shift Availability:
Ability to work either Day Shift or Night Shift routines, including rotating weekend and holiday coverage. What We Offer Competitive hourly pay rates with generous shift differentials for night and weekend shifts!
