Requirements:

Strong respiratory assessment and documentation skills. Ability to be a respiratory resource for the nursing staff provides instruction to patients and/or caregivers on the proper use of equipment and/or respiratory care procedures. Educates patients and/or caregivers to ensure equipment is operated and maintained effectively. Provides and operates various types of respiratory care equipment including but not limited to oxygen therapy, apnea monitoring, suctioning, nasal CPAP, BiPAP, and non-invasive ventilation. Inspect and test equipment to ensure proper operating condition. Prepares and maintains a record for each patient including all necessary paperwork. Consults with referring physician regarding patient treatment, medical condition and home environment. Completes ongoing education and training sessions regarding respiratory patient care. Other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Must be a licensed Respiratory Therapist (CRT, RRT, RT) Must be able to work on-call if necessary. Must possess a valid and current driver's license and auto insurance.
