Schedule/Hours:
Travel Position Qualifications:
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Valid state licensure for respiratory care BLS and ACLS certification Previous experience in critical care or a rehab setting preferred
Responsibilities:
Provide intensive respiratory care and assist with patient transport Evaluate patients, develop, and implement treatment plans Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies and discharge care Administer physician-prescribed treatments using ventilators and nebulizers (invasive and non-invasive) Perform chest physiotherapy, suctioning, oximetry, capnography, and 12-Lead EKGs Conduct pulmonary function studies and assist with bronchoscopies and chest tube placements Manage tracheostomy care, arterial punctures, and laboratory procedures in accordance with policies Maintain comprehensive, accurate patient records and ensure effective shift handoff communication Participate in equipment setup, preventive maintenance, and quality control Provide emergency interventions including cardiopulmonary resuscitation
