A Respiratory Therapist assists patients who have trouble breathing because of a chronic respiratory illness, trauma, or other conditions. Administers tests to diagnose breathing problems, performs treatments to help patients breathe easier, or sets up breathing equipment such as ventilators. Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Responsible for: 1. Providing routine & emergency Respiratory Therapy & Pulmonary Diagnostic procedures to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients. 2. Assembling, operating, and monitoring all types of Respiratory Therapy equipment. 3. Assisting the physician during bedside Pulmonary procedures. 4. Assuming responsibility for department personnel and operations in the absence of the Lead Therapist or Supervisor.CONNECTING TO MISSION

- Current PA State Respiratory Care Practitioner License.
- N.B.R.C. Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT).
- Graduate of a two or four year AMA approved Respiratory Therapy Program.
- Minimum of one year experience in all types of adult, pediatric, and neonatal respiratory therapy procedures.
- Current CPR certification.
- Ability to work various shifts and/or on-call hours when required.
