Setting:
Hospital travel assignment in Philadelphia, PA Responsibilities Administer prescribed respiratory therapies, including airway clearance techniques, inhaled medications, humidity and aerosol therapies, and ventilator management as ordered. Monitor patient responses to therapy, adjust treatment plans under physician direction, and document findings in the medical record. Set up, operate, troubleshoot, and maintain respiratory equipment (ventilators, monitors, oxygen delivery devices) to ensure patient safety. Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team; participate in rounds and contribute to care planning. Educate patients and families on respiratory therapies, device usage, and discharge considerations; provide ongoing instructions as needed. Maintain adherence to infection control protocols, safety standards, and accurate charting.
Requirements Certification:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of respiratory therapy experience Shift and scheduling: Ability to work the night shift (7:00 pm-7:00 am) and support weekend coverage as needed
Setting:
Ability to work effectively in a hospital environment
