Works closely with physicians and other healthcare workers, and may also assist in providing emergency care to patients suffering from heart attacks, drowning, or shock. Works in hospitals; may also provide care and counseling to patients in their homes.

Schedule:
3 x 12-hour shifts Day shift
Qualifications:
Valid credential as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) Active BLS certification Must have a minimum of one year of Pulmonary Function Test (PFT) experience Bronchoscopy experience required Prefer CPFT or RPFT certification Pediatric respiratory therapy experience is beneficial Proven record in adult Intensive Care Units and Emergency Departments (level 1 trauma required)
Responsibilities:
Perform respiratory therapy procedures, including bronchoscopies and comprehensive pulmonary function tests Assess, monitor, and support patients with acute or chronic respiratory conditions in intensive care and emergency environments Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement care plans Ensure proper operation and maintenance of respiratory therapy equipment Document and communicate patient findings and progression using appropriate medical record systems Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on respiratory care and treatments
