3 shifts per week, 12-hour days
Qualifications:
Active credential as a
Respiratory Therapist:
Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) BLS certification required Minimum one year of experience performing Pulmonary Function Tests (PFT) Experience working in adult ICUs and emergency departments, ideally within level 1 trauma centers Bronchoscopy experience is necessary CPFT or RPFT certification highly preferred Prior experience in pediatric care is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver respiratory therapy services in accordance with physician orders to adult and pediatric patients Perform and interpret pulmonary function tests, ensuring accuracy and reliability of results Assist with bronchoscopies, maintaining high standards of care and compliance with infection control protocols Respond swiftly to respiratory emergencies in the ICU and ED, contributing to a multidisciplinary team approach in a level 1 trauma setting Document care activities comprehensively and promptly in accordance with regulatory standards Provide education to patients and families on respiratory procedures and self-care This is a 13-week opportunity to make a meaningful difference in a collaborative healthcare setting, working with a dedicated and skilled team.
