Available Help for . A Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist is both a Registered Respiratory Therapist and either a Certified Pulmonary Function Technologist (CPFT) or a Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) who has been validated by successful completion of the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC) requirements. They maintain a professional RCP license through the Texas Medical Board. This position will emphasize advanced testing of the cardiopulmonary system to include pediatric and adult exercise pulmonary stress testing. This position will also be instrumental in education and research studies. Responsible for analyzing and obtaining physiologic specimens, interpreting physiologic data, performing tests of the cardiopulmonary system, assisting with diagnostic procedures, applying and monitoring medical gases and aerosols, and administering pharmacologic agents related to respiratory care procedures.
Must have an Associate's degree and be a graduate of a Respiratory Care program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Respiratory Care (CoARC) or other accrediting body approved by the advisory board.
One (1) year in a Pulmonary Function Department Performing adult and/or pediatric complex PFT procedures or three (3) years in a Respiratory Care Department, including at least one (1) year of critical care experience.
Must be a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Must be a Registered Pulmonary Function Technologist (RPFT) from the National Board for Respiratory Care.
Pay Details:
$42.19
•$54.84/hr.
