Job Description
A hospital in Vernal, UT is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join its clinical care team. This position is designed for a junior-level or early-career clinician providing direct respiratory support services in an inpatient hospital setting. Position Overview The Respiratory Therapist is responsible for delivering routine and emergent respiratory care services to patients across the hospital. Care is provided in accordance with established protocols, physician orders, and clinical standards to support safe and effective respiratory function. This role requires strong attention to detail, the ability to respond quickly to changes in patient condition, and consistent collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other members of the care team. Key Responsibilities Deliver respiratory therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols Perform patient assessments related to respiratory status and function Administer oxygen therapy, aerosol treatments, and other respiratory interventions Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust care within scope of practice Operate and maintain respiratory therapy equipment safely and effectively Assist with airway management and emergency respiratory interventions as needed Document patient care accurately and in compliance with clinical standards Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support patient treatment plans Educate patients and families on respiratory care and treatment plans Qualifications Active Utah Respiratory Care Practitioner license required upon hire NBRC certification as CRT or RRT required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required Ability to function in a fast-paced hospital environment required Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail required Benefits Medical, dental, and vision insurance Paid time off and holiday benefits Retirement savings program Continuing education and credentialing support Hands-on clinical experience in an acute care setting Partial relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
