Your Qualifications:
Current Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential Valid, unencumbered state license to practice as an RRT (or eligibility to obtain) Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Respiratory Therapy or related field BLS and ACLS certification (additional specialty certifications preferred) Previous acute care or hospital respiratory experience is highly desirable Strong communication, critical thinking, and adaptiveness to new settings
Role Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive respiratory assessments and deliver care for patients with cardiopulmonary disorders Implement physician-ordered respiratory therapies, including ventilator management, airway care, and oxygen therapy Monitor patient responses, adjust treatment plans, and document progress according to facility policies Collaborate closely with physicians, nurses, and allied health professionals for optimal patient outcomes Educate patients and families on respiratory care procedures, equipment, and post-discharge instructions Support a safe and efficient clinical environment, adhering to current protocols and infection control guidelines
