Job Description

Category Respiratory - Registered Respiratory Therapist Job Type Travel Take your expertise as a Registered Respiratory Therapist to a dynamic healthcare environment, where your skillset will directly support patients' respiratory health and recovery. This contract opportunity offers a chance to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, utilizing advanced technology and protocols in a patient-centered setting.
Qualifications:
Current credentials as a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) through NBRC Valid respiratory care practitioner license Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications Demonstrated experience in acute care or hospital settings Strong knowledge of ventilator management, aerosol therapy, airway care, and pulmonary diagnostics Excellent clinical assessment and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Deliver comprehensive respiratory therapy, including oxygen therapy, airway management, and mechanical ventilation Perform and analyze diagnostic procedures such as ABG sampling and pulmonary function tests Collaborate with physicians and nurses to implement patient-specific respiratory care plans Document all assessments, interventions, and clinical outcomes accurately in the electronic health record Educate patients and families on respiratory disease management, equipment use, and aftercare Maintain and troubleshoot respiratory therapy equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety Respond efficiently to emergencies such as rapid responses or code situations, providing critical respiratory support
