ASAP About the Position Job Title Respiratory Therapist - Critical Care Location Marshfield, WI Schedule / Job Type Contract | Night Shift | 3x12-hour shifts (1830-0700) | Every third weekend required | Every other holiday required Key Responsibilities Provide respiratory therapy services across all adult inpatient units, the Emergency Department, and intensive care units, including coverage of pediatric patients in the EDPerform arterial blood gases (ABGs) and capillary blood gases (CBGs) in intensive care settingsProvide coverage for EKG department overnight and as neededAssist with intubations and place laryngeal airways (King airway) during code blue situations as appropriateOperate and manage a variety of ventilators, BiPAP/CPAP devices, high-flow therapy equipment, and other advanced respiratory equipmentParticipate in a structured orientation period, including leadership-guided onboarding and floor-based orientation Required Qualifications Active Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential requiredActive State of Wisconsin Respiratory Therapy license required (or ability to obtain prior to start; licensure may take 6-8 weeks)Current ACLS, BLS, NRP, and PALS certifications requiredMinimum of 2 years of respiratory therapy experienceCritical care experience requiredTrauma Level 2 or Level 3 experience required Preferred Experience / Skills Experience operating ventilators such as Servo U, Servo I, PB840, or Hamilton T1Familiarity with high-flow therapy systems (e.g., Vapotherm), INOmax, oscillators, cough assist devices, or similar advanced respiratory equipmentFirst-time travelers and travel duos are welcome to apply Why Join Us Work within a well-supported department structure that includes on-site management, supervisors, and a dedicated lead therapist assigned to every shiftAccess to a comprehensive range of advanced respiratory equipment and 24/7 in-house intensivist and neonatologist support
