A healthcare staffing organization is seeking qualified Respiratory Therapists to support an acute care hospital facility through a temporary staffing assignment. The organization partners with state health facilities to ensure hospitals maintain consistent, high-quality respiratory care services for patients with cardiopulmonary conditions. Job Summary:
We are seeking experienced Respiratory Therapists to provide cardiopulmonary care services in a hospital setting. In this role, you will deliver respiratory therapy treatments ordered by physicians, assist in the diagnosis and treatment of heart and lung disorders, and support patients experiencing respiratory deficiencies or abnormalities. The Respiratory Therapist will also document patient care in electronic medical records, participate in quality improvement initiatives, and collaborate with physicians and clinical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
Administer respiratory treatments as ordered by physicians Provide cardiopulmonary care and life-support services Perform diagnostic tests related to pulmonary and cardiovascular systems Document patient care accurately in electronic medical records Monitor patient progress and adjust care as needed Support hospital quality improvement and performance initiatives Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to ensure effective patient care
Qualifications:
Graduate of a COARC-accredited Respiratory Therapy program with at least an Associate's Degree Active West Virginia Respiratory Therapy License Current certifications in:
CPR ACLS
(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Minimum 1 year of experience in an acute care setting What's in It for
