Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity working with students in a school-based setting near Sterling, AK. We are seeking passionate professionals to fill six full-time Speech-Language Pathologist positions (SLP-CCC, SLP-CFY), and applications from qualified Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPA) are welcome as well. You will have the chance to make a meaningful impact throughout the full academic year in an on-site capacity, with available needs in Southern, Central, and Eastern Peninsula areas. What we're looking for: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Current or pending state licensure in Alaska (SLP or SLPA) Experience working with school-aged children is highly preferred Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative approach Ability to work on-site throughout the school year Willingness to travel--this is a travel position with a stipend included Primary responsibilities include: Evaluating, diagnosing, and treating students with speech, language, and communication disorders Developing and implementing IEPs in collaboration with educational teams Maintaining thorough documentation and progress records Participating in team meetings and professional development activities Providing support and consultation to staff and families as needed Committing to serve in person at one or more locations within the district This is a highly supportive and collaborative environment, ideal for those seeking to grow professionally and make a positive impact.
