Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment near Alabaster, AL. Focus on developing your skills and making a real difference working with a close-knit group of young learners—about 20 students—ranging in their unique communication needs. This contract role offers a consistent schedule of one day per week, spanning 8-10 hours, giving you the flexibility to balance your professional goals and personal commitments throughout the 2026-2027 academic year.
Key Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Active state licensure and ASHA certification Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and SLPs with their CCC encouraged to apply Background in teletherapy, pediatrics, or healthcare environments is valued Prior experience in schools is welcomed, but not required—exceptional communication and collaborative spirit are essential In this position, you'll: Deliver direct and teletherapy speech and language interventions for a caseload of approximately 20 students Collaborate with multidisciplinary educational teams, teachers, and families Evaluate students' communication abilities and develop tailored treatment plans Maintain thorough progress documentation and compliance with educational guidelines Support both in-person and remote learning modalities, fostering student achievement This is the ideal role for professionals who thrive in a supportive school culture, enjoy flexible, predictable hours, and are passionate about helping children reach their communication potential.
