Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference for elementary students as a talented Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) in a dynamic school setting near Moulton, AL. This full-time contract position runs from August 12th to May 28th, offering an exciting opportunity to support young learners in grades 1 through 4. You'll be working with an engaging caseload of 80-100 students, collaborating with educators and families to help each child reach their communication and academic goals.

Qualifications and Experience:

Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP (CCC preferred) or SLPA Experience in a school-based or pediatric setting strongly preferred Solid understanding of IEP processes and documentation requirements Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational skills Passion for working with children in elementary grade levels

Responsibilities:

Evaluate and diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff for integrated student support Maintain timely, accurate records and contribute to IEP meetings as needed Monitor student progress and adjust interventions as appropriate Mentor and provide guidance to SLPA (if credentialed as SLP) Foster a supportive, positive environment that encourages student growth
