Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact by providing speech and language services as a dedicated SLP for the 2026-2027 school year. This contract opportunity is full-time and onsite, with the potential to consider virtual options near the end of the school year if necessary. The specific caseload and grade levels will be determined, and candidate preferences will be taken into account.
Qualifications:
Active Alabama Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) License TCERT (Teacher Certification in Alabama) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred Ability to collaborate effectively with teachers, staff, and families Strong organizational and communication skills Comfortable using technology for documentation and possible virtual services
Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to students in accordance with IEP goals Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate records Collaborate with special education teams, educators, and parents to support student progress Participate actively in IEP meetings, offering insight and recommendations Adjust intervention strategies based on student needs and progress Stay current with best practices and compliance with state regulations
