Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity providing speech and language therapy services within a dedicated educational environment near Remlap, AL. Support students communication development and work collaboratively with educators and families to make a meaningful impact in their academic and personal growth.
Skills & Experience Sought:
Masters degree or higher in Speech-Language Pathology Current state license to practice as an SLP (or eligibility) Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred Experience working with school-aged children, including diverse backgrounds and needs Strong communication, documentation, and team collaboration skills Familiarity with IEP development and participation in multidisciplinary meetings
Key Responsibilities:
Assess, diagnose, and treat students with a variety of speech, language, and communication disorders Develop and implement individualized therapy plans based on IEP goals Track and document student progress, regularly updating reports for parents and school staff Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and recommending next steps for services Provide consultation and training to teachers, staff, and families on strategies for classroom and home environments Stay informed about the most effective, evidence-based practices in school speech-language therapy
