Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist supporting schools near Trussville, AL! This contract position offers a rewarding opportunity to help learners reach their full potential by assessing, diagnosing, and treating speech and language disorders within an educational environment. What you'll bring: Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current state licensure in Alabama (or eligibility to obtain) ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Experience with school-aged children, ideally within a school setting Excellent communication and collaboration skills Strong organizational abilities and adaptability Familiarity with IEP processes and special education law Key responsibilities: Conduct assessments, develop and implement individualized treatment plans for students with communication disorders Contribute actively to IEP meetings, goals, and documentation Deliver direct and consultative speech and language therapy services Collaborate with educators, parents, and other service providers to support each student's unique needs Maintain accurate and timely documentation and reports as required Participate in team meetings, professional development, and ongoing communication with school staff Educate and counsel students, families, and staff on effective strategies for supporting communication skills You'll enjoy a supportive work environment, a chance to impact students' academic journeys, and the fulfilling experience of working with a collaborative school team.
