Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist, providing essential support across multiple school sites in a contract position. This full-time opportunity focuses on delivering high-quality speech and language services to K-12 students in a collaborative setting. The role requires a professional committed to serving a diverse caseload and comfortable traveling between schools.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY). Valid state SLP license (or ability to obtain before start). Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting is highly valued. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with students, staff, and families. Ability to manage a full K-12 caseload and adapt services according to student needs. Willingness and ability to travel between school locations within the district.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and provide individualized therapy for students with speech, language, and communication disorders. Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Plans (IEPs). Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support student progress. Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with district and state requirements. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expertise as part of a multidisciplinary team. Offer consultative support and training to school staff as needed.
