A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.
EMIT Learning is seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for an onsite position in Buckeye, AZ for the 2026-2027 school year. The Speech-Language Pathologist will provide comprehensive speech and language services to support students' communication, academic, and social success in a school setting. Responsibilities include conducting speech-language evaluations, developing and implementing individualized therapy plans, participating in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings, maintaining documentation, and collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams.

Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations to assess students' communication needs. Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language therapy plans based on evaluation results and IEP goals. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings by presenting evaluation findings and collaborating with school teams to develop appropriate educational recommendations. Provide individual and group speech-language therapy services to students with a variety of communication disorders. Maintain accurate documentation, therapy notes, progress reports, and compliance with state and federal special education regulations. Collaborate with teachers, administrators, related service providers, and families to support student communication and educational success. Provide consultation regarding classroom strategies, accommodations, and assistive communication needs as appropriate.
Qualifications:
Valid Arizona Speech-Language Pathologist License required. Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, if required by the district. Strong knowledge of speech-language assessment tools, IDEA, IEP development, and special education regulations. Experience providing speech-language services in a school setting is preferred. Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple students, therapy schedules, and documentation requirements.
