1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for a 13-week acute care hospital travel assignment, requiring CCC-SLP certification and at least 1 year of experience. Details Short-term acute care hospital setting, Level IV trauma and teaching facility SLP Acute Care unit with a daily patient load of 12-14 patients Day shift, 4x10-hour shifts, 8:00am to 6:00pm Charting completed in Cerner Business casual attire required Free parking available on-site Candidates must be comfortable floating without restrictions, which may include other units, nearby affiliate hospitals, or other facilities based on skills and census needs Local candidates are accepted at the same rate as travel Requirements Current CCC-SLP certification required Current BLS certification required Minimum 1 year of experience as a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist Arizona SLP license required if applicable Cerner EMR experience preferred Teaching hospital setting experience preferred Must be comfortable floating without restrictions Additional Information First-time travelers are welcome to apply Candidates must be available to work 2 of the facility's recognized holidays: New Year's Day, Memorial Day Weekend, Independence Day Weekend, Thanksgiving Day, or Christmas Day No time off (RTO) is permitted during the first week of the assignment due to orientation; additional RTO requires Unit Manager approval Previous employees of this facility (permanent, PRN, or extended placement) must have been separated for at least 12 months before being eligible to return as a traveler Candidates who previously canceled a contract with this facility within 10 days of the scheduled start date are ineligible Two professional references are required prior to start: one from the most recent employer within 1 year of the start date, and one completed within 2 years of the start date Orientation modules are completed during the first week and average approximately 6 hours total
