A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

School Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP or CF-SLP) Phoenix & Tucson Metro Areas We offer you $90,000/school year ($62.50/hour), year-round salary with 16 weeks off, 5 days PTO (paid out if unused), and 100% paid insurance premiums benefits to you, plus appreciation gifts, bonus trips, and substantial raises each year. STARS is the largest school contract agency in AZ that has been around for over 25 years. We are a therapy led team with owners being an SLP, 2 OTs, & a School Psychologists. Requirements:
AZ Speech Pathologist License (Arizona Department of Health Services) AZ Speech Pathologist Certification (Arizona Department of Education) IVP Fingerprint card (AZ Department of Public Safety) We will show you how to get these and reimburse you the cost if you do not have them.
Additional Salary Info:
STARS provides Yearly Raises. Pay is spread over the calendar year so you will receive pay and benefits year round. Summer and schools breaks are time off for you. Responsibilities
  • Provide speech therapy services to students in the school setting.
  • Conduct assessments to develop Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
  • Work with the Special Education team, including parents, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date paperwork.
