A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

School Speech Language Pathologist provides speech and language therapy to students in a school setting, developing individualized education plans and collaborating with educators, parents, and administrators. The role supports communication development and ensures compliance with state and district standards. Compensation is up to $60 per hour based on experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide speech and language therapy services to students in the school setting Assess and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with state and district requirements Collaborate with teachers, parents, and administrators to support student communication needs Maintain detailed documentation of services provided and progress made Adhere to all facility policies, schedule, and regulatory standards

Qualifications:

Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology or equivalent Current Arizona Standard Speech-Language Pathologist Certification Current Arizona Department of Health Speech Language Pathologist License Valid driver's license and Arizona Identity Verified Prints Fingerprint Clearance Card Social Security Card and college diploma or transcripts Minimum 1 year of relevant experience in school settings Proficiency in speech-language pathology techniques Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Flexibility to adapt to different settings Willingness to work day shifts Ability to follow facility requirements and schedule Pass background checks
