1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC-SLP certification and 3+ years of experience for a hybrid inpatient/outpatient acute care hospital position in Apple Valley, CA. Details Acute care hospital setting with 212 staffed beds Hybrid inpatient and outpatient role, with typically 1-3 adult outpatient cases per day and the remainder in acute inpatient care Adult patient population Modified Barium Swallow Studies are performed regularly and must be performed independently Epic EMR; experience required Monday through Friday schedule, day shift, 8:00am-4:30pm (5x8-hour shifts) No call or weekend coverage required Travelers may be required to float between facilities within the state Requirements Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) Active and unrestricted state SLP license required; pending licenses are not accepted Current BLS certification Minimum 3 years of experience as a licensed SLP; must be able to work independently Ability to independently perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies Epic EMR experience required At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting Full SSN and DOB required for consideration Additional Information 13-week contract First-time travelers are welcome to apply Former permanent employees of this facility must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler Candidates living within 50 miles of the facility should inquire about local rates Refusal to float between facilities within the state may result in termination of assignment RTO requests must be submitted at the time of consideration; minimal RTO is strongly preferred Free parking on site
