Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students' communication growth in a diverse educational setting near Berkeley, CA. This position spans the academic year from mid-August 2026 to late May 2027. As a Speech-Language Pathologist specializing in school-based services, you will play a pivotal role for PK-8th grade students, focusing on individualized, impactful therapy and collaborative service delivery. In this part-time role, you'll work three days per week (6.5 hours per day), working directly at The Bayshore School. With a manageable and defined caseload—serving 6 speech-only students as their case manager, and providing direct SLP services to approximately 29 students—you'll have the time to make meaningful connections and a measurable difference.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) Active California SLP license or eligibility to obtain prior to start date Experience working with students PreK-8th grade preferred Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills Previous school-based or pediatric experience is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to students according to their IEP goals Serve as case manager for a subset of speech-only students, overseeing evaluations, goal development, and progress monitoring Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student learning Maintain accurate and timely records for state and district compliance Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary teams Discover a contract that offers purposeful work, a structured schedule, and a chance to positively shape students' academic journeys.
