Qualifications and Desired Experience:

Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Valid state licensure or eligibility as a Speech Language Pathologist Prior experience in educational or school-based settings strongly preferred Proficiency in managing screenings, assessments, and diagnosis for diverse student populations Solid understanding of IEP process and experience ensuring compliance Familiarity and hands-on experience working with AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication) devices Capable of supporting students with mild, moderate, and severe speech/language needs Strong interpersonal skills for effective teamwork with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams Organized, flexible, and comfortable working across multiple sites

Responsibilities:

Conduct screenings and in-depth evaluations to identify student needs Develop, implement, and monitor individualized speech-language therapy plans aligned with each students IEP Address a variety of communication challenges, including articulation, fluency, language, and functional communication Customize approaches for students who use AAC devices, ensuring optimal integration and support Collaborate with classroom staff, special educators, and families to support student progress Document assessments, therapy sessions, and progress notes in accordance with district and legal standards Participate in IEP meetings, contributing expertise and advocating for individualized student solutions Travel across different schools within the district as part of an itinerant support team Make a meaningful impact every day by shaping the communication skills and confidence of students.
