This position specializes in providing speech therapy services within a school setting, offering both in-person and teletherapy delivery modes to support students' diverse needs.
Qualifications and Skills:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program Active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) Valid state license to practice as a Speech Language Pathologist Previous experience in educational settings, particularly working with school-aged children Proficiency in delivering teletherapy sessions a strong plus Strong interpersonal and communication abilities Ability to create individualized education plans (IEPs) and collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to identify speech, language, and communication disorders among students Develop and implement therapy plans tailored to each student's needs, including direct and virtual (teletherapy) services Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in accordance with school and state standards Provide consultation and support to educators, parents, and caregivers on speech and language strategies Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations for student goals Stay informed on current best practices in speech therapy and teletherapy modalities
