Welcome to Therapy South! We are a neuro-affirming, DIR influenced pediatric private practice serving pediatric OT, PT and speech therapy clients since 2016. Our team of dedicated professionals are passionate about empowering children and families reach their full potential through innovation, neuro-science and shared connection. We are currently seeking a dynamic and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. We offer full time or part time positions in outpatient, home health/early intervention, or a combination of both. We are currently looking for candidates with the following qualifications: Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist with a California Speech Therapy License or RPE, CF's and SLPA's are welcome to apply! What does this role look like? The role of the Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist is to support families and children who have an identified need for language and communication support. Oftentimes, this is with non-speaking individuals, helping to provide access to a functional mode of communication that is not the expressive word. The SLP will evaluate, screen and treat clients from a strengths based lens, keep timely and accurate documentation, and serve as one of many support layers in the child's developmental program. Therapy South SLP:
Evaluate, screen, and provide diagnoses of speech and language or feeding disorders in children and provides assessment and/or consultation regarding speech and language, oral-motor, feeding skills, according to each learner's needs and physician recommendations, and according to specific program/grant guidelines and protocols. Develop, document, write, and clearly communicate treatment goals and treatment plans that honors the child's present level, the family's unique abilities, and a realistic timeline. Provide training and education to family/caregivers and other professionals at Therapy South. Work collaboratively with a multi-disciplinary team to support optimal client success. Contribute to clinical meetings and support the unique and rich culture at Therapy South. Manage caseload details and work with caregivers to achieve common goals. Complete all required documentation accurately, on time, and in accordance with department standards; in addition, documentation complies with patient insurance requirements. Support the family and/or admin team with schedule management, which may include assisting with appointment confirmations, cancellations and/or rescheduling. Qualifications for this
Role:
(not all may apply) Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program or Associate's Degrees in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited Assistant Program. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). California state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology. Strong clinical skills and expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of speech and language disorders across diverse populations and age groups. Ability to lift 50 pounds and move easily on the floor during therapy sessions. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team. Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying abreast of current trends and advancements in the field of speech therapy.
