- In-Home Early Intervention (Per Diem) Three Cubs Therapy is a small pediatric practice serving families across San Diego County.
We provide in-home early intervention services to children ages 0 to 3. We're growing and looking for speech therapists, SLPAs, PTAs and early intervention specialists to join us on a per diem basis. The practice is owned and run by a pediatric physical therapist, and our team includes PTs, speech-language pathologists, SLPAs, and early intervention specialists. This role involves seeing children in their homes. About the role You'll carry a per diem caseload of infants and toddlers, seeing them in their homes around San Diego County. You decide how many clients you take and which areas you cover. Some of our therapists build a full week, others fit visits around another job. A big part of the work is coaching parents and caregivers, so what you do in a session carries over into daily routines. What you'll do Evaluate and treat children ages 0 to 3 in their homes and natural environments Develop treatment plans and functional goals, and adjust the plan of care as the child progresses Coach parents and caregivers so strategies carry over between visits Complete evaluations, progress notes, and visit documentation Work with our team (PT, SLP, SLPA, EIS, OT) on care coordination and IFSP activities as needed Requirements Active, unrestricted California ST license, SLPA License, PTA License For Early Intervention Specialist, 4 year degree in child development, other related fields or equivalent experience Valid California driver's license, reliable transportation, and personal auto insurance Able to work on the floor with infants and toddlers, including lifting and positioning Nice to have, but not required Pediatric or early intervention (birth to three) experience Familiarity with in-home work Bilingual (English/Spanish) New to early intervention? That's fine. If you're a strong clinician who wants to learn this setting, we'll train you. Pay and schedule For Speech Therapists, $75 to $85 per client-facing hour, depending on experience For SLPAs and PTAs, $40 to $50 per client-facing hour, depending on experience For Early Intervention Specialists, $35 to $40 per client-facing hour, depending on experience Per diem, non-exempt, hourly (W-2) You set your own availability and coverage area Benefits Paid drive time Paid documentation time Paid sick time Mileage reimbursement Therapy supplies Mentorship Robust admin support Streamlined documentation Quarterly team gatherings Before you start All new hires complete a background check with MVR, TB clearance, HIPAA training, and I-9 verification.
