Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Soliant is working with a school district in Corona, CA and is seeking an Assisitve Technology certified Speech-Language Pathologist to be part of its team. Candidates will be working intensively with students and staff in preschool to high school SDC (Special Day Class) settings, serving a range of new referrals and current users for low-tech and high-tech Assistive Technology in their classrooms.

This is for the 26-27 school yearr 40 hours per week Mileage reimbursement provided for travel between sites Job functions: Consult with District staff and student families about classroom and in-home supports for both initial referrals and re-evaluations Assess students with a mix of qualitative and quantitative methods to determine student needs, and how they qualify for AT support Make appropriate recommendations for low tech or high tech AT support Write IEP reports, define goals, monitor and report on student progress in accordance with Federal, State and District guidelines Ensure accurate and timely documentation of either AT support services or consultations Provide staff and parent training as needed to support student adoption of AT recommendationsPay and Benefits:
Hourly, W2 pay of $68 to $85, dependent on experience Health, vision and dental insurance Employer matched 401(k) Paid sick leave License, CEU or materials reimbursements We seek applicants with the following competencies: Excellent organization skills: candidates will be working with students and staff across multiple sites, and must be able to provide accurate and timely status updates on their work process Commitment to student success: make recommendations for AT support in accordance with Federal, State, and District guidelines Collaboration and collegiality: candidates will have to navigate sometimes conflicting goals amongst staff and parents. We seek applicants who can find the middle ground and ensure outcomes that are student-centered without overextending District obligations Communication skills: candidates need to be able to share their expertise to both a specialist and non-specialist audience Mentorship and guidance: in some instances candidates will work closely with teachers, instructional aides, or Speech-Language Pathology Assistants, coaching them on appropriate interventionsRequirements:
