A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments to identify communication disorders and determine appropriate student services. Evaluate students' speech, language, voice, fluency, communication, and swallowing-related needs when appropriate. Develop individualized speech therapy and treatment plans based on assessment results, student needs, and IEP goals. Provide school-based speech and language therapy to students across multiple grade levels. Support students with articulation, expressive language, receptive language, fluency, voice, social communication, and functional communication needs. Monitor student progress and modify therapy strategies and interventions as needed. Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute to student goals and service planning. Qualifications Valid CCC-SLP (Certificate of Clinical Competence - Speech-Language Pathologist) license or applicable credential required. Previous school-based Speech-Language Pathologist experience required.
