Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A contracted Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to provide services in a school setting in Delano, CA. This role supports students from preschool through 8th grade across multiple elementary school locations, including Horizon Elementary, Browning Road, and Kern Avenue, working as a rover to meet diverse student needs. Key responsibilities include delivering speech and language therapy services, assisting with service minutes, and conducting assessments. The caseload is flexible and will be adjusted based on student needs and scheduling. This position follows a consistent schedule, working approximately 7.5 hours per day from 7:30 a.m. to 3:15 p.m. The contract begins as soon as possible and extends through May 29, 2026.
Desired qualifications and skills:
Valid Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology Current eligibility for SLP licensure appropriate for school environments Experience as a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) Speech-Language Pathologist or fully licensed SLP in a school setting Ability to work collaboratively with educational teams and focus on delivering quality services despite environmental challenges Flexibility to provide services across multiple school sites as a rover This position requires a candidate dedicated to fostering student success and capable of adaptability within the school environment. At this time, teletherapy and SLPA (Speech-Language Pathology Assistant) support are not options for this role.
