A Speech Language Pathologist diagnoses and treats speech, language, and swallowing disorders in patients with a variety of conditions. Helps patients improve their ability to make sounds or use language, or develop non-spoken means of communication. May specialize in working with patients of a certain age group, or treat speech problems resulting from a condition such as a stroke or cleft palate. Works in schools, hospitals and other healthcare facilities and works closely with physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other therapists.

Job Description

Burger Physical Therapy has provided therapy services since 1978. We currently seek an exceptional State Board Licensed Speech Language Pathologist or a CF to join our Pediatric team in the Folsom Pediatric Clinic. The Physical Therapist/Clinic Director is wonderful, and the atmosphere is amazing where the goal of making a positive difference every day is easily met! We have a team of SLPs in the clinic, but the overwhelming speech needs continue to increase; this is a great opportunity to join our interdisciplinary pediatric team! The position is full-time and a SLP can start right away! The ideal candidate will have sensory or picky eating experience. Call or text 916-934-3090!
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Provide assessment and treatment services for adults with variety of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide thorough and timely documentation necessary to support third-party reimbursement of claims.
  • Participate in program development as appropriate.
  • Participate in professional continuing education.
Skills & Requirements Skills/Requirements:
California State licensed Speech Language Pathologist Valid California driver's license, proof of automobile insurance, TB test and proof of immunity or vaccines to MMR and COVID.
