Job Description

Therapist must Reside Within 15 Miles of 90248. This is NOT a remote position! Please only apply if you have a minimum of 3 years of experience! Preferred Practice Therapy is seeking an experienced, compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to conduct initial pediatric intake evaluations for toddlers ages 18-35 months in both our modern clinic and in the family's natural environment . This is a highly flexible role designed for clinicians who love assessment, early identification, and working with young children and families. Our beautifully designed, warm, and welcoming clinics support children from birth to 5 years using California-inspired early intervention models and evidence-based assessment practices. What You'll Do Conduct speech-language evaluations for toddlers ages 18-35 months Administer and interpret the Preschool Language Scale (PLS-5) Use our pre-built evaluation templates for efficient and streamlined documentation Complete initial intake assessments to support early intervention referrals Collaborate with our multidisciplinary team to support smooth onboarding for families Provide evaluations in the clinic or in the family's home , depending on your preference Why You'll Love This Role Extremely flexible schedule - work when it fits your life Office schedules your appointments for you based on your availability No report writing from scratch - all evaluation templates provided Low stress, focused caseload (intake and evaluation only) Beautiful, modern clinic environment Supportive admin and clinical leadership team Opportunity to make a meaningful impact during the most critical developmental years Who We're Looking For CA Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist 2 Years of experience working with toddlers (18-35 months) required Strong familiarity with PLS-5 or similar standardized assessments Comfortable working in both clinic and natural environments Professional, warm, and family-centered approach Strong clinical judgment and ability to clearly communicate written results to families and care teams About Preferred Practice Therapy Preferred Practice Therapy provides Speech, Occupational, Physical Therapy, and Infant Stimulation services to children birth to 5 years in a warm, nurturing, and highly professional setting.
