Job Description
Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract A Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) opportunity is available in Indio, CA, serving the school setting on a contract basis. This role focuses on evaluating and treating children with speech and language disorders within a supportive educational environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct thorough evaluations of students presenting with speech and language impairments. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs. Provide therapy sessions targeting specific speech and language goals to improve communication skills. Monitor progress carefully and maintain detailed documentation of therapy outcomes. Collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and other professionals to ensure integrated care. Engage families by educating and involving them in the therapy process to support student success.Qualifications:
Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program. Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure in Speech-Language Pathology.Preferred:
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP). Experience working with pediatric and/or school-aged populations is highly desirable. Strong communication skills and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Active license approved by the State Board of Speech Language Pathology in California is required. This contract position provides the opportunity to make a meaningful impact on the communication development of school-aged children.
