00 This travel Speech-Language Pathologist opportunity is based in a vibrant, growing community in Jurupa Valley, California. Located in the Inland Empire region, this area offers a welcoming suburban atmosphere with the benefit of easy access to major Southern California destinations. Residents enjoy a mix of open spaces, walking and equestrian trails, and family-friendly parks, while being just a short drive from the cultural, dining, and entertainment options of nearby Riverside and other regional hubs. The assignment is a school-based role serving students in grades 6 through 12. You will work within a supportive educational environment that values collaboration, communication, and student-centered practice. The caseload is approximately 55 students, providing a balanced mix of evaluations, direct therapy, and consultative services. This is a travel position covering a maternity leave from early August through mid-December, offering a defined timeframe that fits well for professionals seeking a shorter-term assignment with meaningful impact. In this role, you will be responsible for the full scope of school-based SLP services. Your day will typically include conducting assessments, writing and updating IEPs, delivering individual and group therapy, and collaborating closely with teachers, administrators, and families. You will participate in IEP meetings, provide progress reports, and help develop strategies that support students' communication skills in both academic and social settings. The setting includes middle and high school students, giving you valuable experience across multiple developmental stages and a wide range of communication needs. A typical day may involve scheduled therapy sessions, time for evaluation and report writing, and collaboration blocks with classroom staff. You can expect a manageable caseload that allows for meaningful, student-focused intervention while maintaining compliance with documentation and timelines. The anticipated weekly hours total approximately 35, providing a consistent schedule while still allowing time to explore the surrounding area and enjoy what Southern California has to offer. The community environment is a strong selling point of this assignment. Jurupa Valley is known for its friendly neighborhoods, proximity to regional parks and outdoor recreation, and convenient access to nearby cities. Whether you enjoy hiking, visiting local attractions, or exploring new dining spots, you will find plenty to do within a short drive. The region's climate and scenery make it appealing for outdoor enthusiasts, while its location offers easy weekend trips to beaches, mountains, or desert destinations. This position offers an excellent opportunity to build your school-based SLP experience, particularly in secondary education. You will gain valuable exposure to middle and high school caseloads, diverse communication needs, and the unique team dynamics of a multi-site or multi-grade environment. It is well suited for clinicians looking to enhance their resumes with travel experience and school-based expertise, while working in a supportive and collaborative educational setting.
