Job Description

Category Schools - SLP Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract role supporting students' communication growth for the upcoming school year in a close-knit educational community near Lake Hughes, CA. This full-time position offers the opportunity to provide a range of impactful speech-language services to middle and high school students. You'll work onsite, collaborating with dedicated staff to make a difference in the lives of young learners.
Desired Experience and Qualifications:
Valid Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required Prior experience working in a school setting or with school-aged youth is a plus Strong skills in assessment, evaluation, and developing individualized plans Ability to provide direct therapy services across a diverse caseload Comfortable conducting and participating in IEP meetings Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver direct speech-language therapy to middle and high school students Complete comprehensive assessments and evaluations to identify student needs Develop, implement, and monitor IEPs in collaboration with educational teams Document student progress, maintain up-to-date records, and communicate regularly with families and teachers Participate in school-based meetings, support staff with speech-language strategies, and contribute to a positive school environment This contract offers full-time hours (37.5 per week, Monday through Friday) during the traditional school schedule, providing stability and a clear work-life rhythm while making a meaningful contribution to student development.
